Mine Is The Night

Synopsis
SHE LOST EVERYTHING SHE LOVED.
HE HAD EVERYTHING SHE NEEDED.
BUT COULD SHE FIND THE COURAGE TO TRUST HIM?

Stepping from a battered coach on a rainy April eve, newly widowed Elisabeth Kerr must begin again, without husband or title, property or fortune. She is unafraid of work and gifted with a needle, but how will she stitch together the tattered remnants of her life? And who will mend her heart, torn asunder by betrayal and deception?
Elisabeth has not come to Selkirk alone. Her mother-in-law, Marjory Kerr, is a woman undone, having buried her husband, her sons, and any promise of grandchildren. Dependent upon a distant cousin with meager resources, Marjory dreads the future almost as much as she regrets the past. Yet joy still comes knocking, and hope is often found in unexpected places.
Then a worthy hero steps forward, rekindling a spark of hope. Will he risk his reputation to defend two women labeled as traitors to the Crown? Or will a wealthy beauty, untainted by scandal, capture his affections?
The heartrending journey of the Kerr women comes to a glorious finish in Mine Is the Night, a sparkling gem of redemption and restoration set in eighteenth-century Scotland.

As Lady Marjory Kerr and her daughter-in-law Lady Elizabeth Kerr were leaving the city and their home where Lady Marjory had already had to bury her husband and her two sons.
This was set in Edinburgh during the Jacobite Rebellion in the year of 1745. The two sons went to help defend Prince Charlie, and this left the women alone. But the son Donald was not as he seemed to be, he ran around on Elizabeth, and wanted her to forgive him every time. Could Elizabeth let love fill her heart again?
After both sons were killed the women had to flee and lost everything but what they sold to make it to Selkirk.
This was a book that I would read again and again.Liz did a lot of research and be able to give use the Galic words to read and there meanings in this book. She seemed to know what she was writing about filled our hearts and heads with this history, romance and adultery.

Lady in Waiting

Jane Lindsey has been married for twenty-two years and she’s content—at least until Brad packs his belongings and walks out the door of their Manhattan home. But Jane is powerless to stop Brad—nor the events that follow his departure.

While going through a box from a British ‘jumble sale’, Jane discovers an old ring with a Latin inscription on the band. There is just one recognizable word—Jane. Jane feels an instant connection to the ring, and starts trying to learn more about it—and maybe even about herself.

LADY IN WAITING is the story of two different Jane’s who’s lives dovetail through the journey of one ring. Each woman ultimately realizes she has more control over her own life than she initially realizes.

Ms. Meissner writes award-winning novels that are sure to grab the readers attention and keep it through the end of the book. I was captivated from page one, and had to keep reading to find out more about the mysterious ring and the women who’s lives it touched. Discussion questions are included at the end of the book

I  had expected it to be a typical novel about the unsung people of the Tudor Era. While it is in theory it is about personal relationships in the past and in the present. I love how the story is intertwined between present day Manhattan and the England of the past. Jane had the opportunity to do what she had always wanted and needed to do but was never given the opportunity to in the past.
I really enjoy this book and have recommend it to my friends to read.

In Trust,Respect and overwelming Love.  And I think the Camp sound like a beautiful place to see. I would like to go to it one day. So if you get the chance to read a very awsome book.  It is one that will bring a tear to your eye and Love in your Heart for animals and people.
